Transition is neighbors helping neighbors build community and resilience to mitigate and adapt to the complex and related challenges of climate change, fossil fuel depletion, economic uncertainty and social injustice. It is pro-active, positive, empowering. We are the ones we've been waiting for!

Tool Pool


Just like the Lending Library is a communal collection of books, we can also share tools (landscape and carpentry tools, even transportation tools like bikes).

In the Tool Pool so far:

Garden Tools

- rakes, shovels, spades, hoes

- saws on poles for those harder to reach branches, loppers

- leaf shredder (runs on gasoline, fits a station wagon)

- hoop bender for an 8 foot diameter hoop house

House Tools

- rods and brushes for cleaning the chimney
