Earth Day

On 9 April
Wayland celebrates Earth Day!
From 11to 2
At the Wayland DPW Building, Middle School, 201 Main Street

and Transition Wayland will have a booth there!

Join your neighbors in celebration of the Earth.
  • The Wayland DPW will display their new rain barrels and composters.
  • Numerous “green” vendors and initiatives will be available to detail their missions.
  • There will be food, activities for children and adults, and cake!
All Wayland organizations are invited to participate and share their goals with the community.

A town-wide clean up event will also take place with collection at the Middle School. Many volunteers are needed to help clean up our roads, waterways and parks. Please consider forming clean-up teams now!

This event is community-wide and designed to mobilize all of us to create change by taking small steps in our homes, our schools and our businesses that add up to an enormous collective action!

This event is free and wheelchair accessible. The rain date is Sunday April 10, also from 11-2.

Contact Christina Veal at cveal11@verizon.net or call her at 508-652-1903 for more information, to volunteer, or to exhibit (free for non-profits, $25 for for-profits).

This celebration is organized by the Wayland Schools' GREEN TEAM, Wayland CleansUP!, and the Wayland High School Environmental Club.
